Certification Courses
Ohio Boating Education Course (OBEC)
This class is taught by the Ohio Department of Natural
Resources-Division of Watercraft. The class meets the Ohio Boater
Education Law requirement for operators of boats greater than 10 mph.
American Heart Association BLS for
Health-Care Providers
This is the professional level of CPR needed for nurses, EMT's, and
other health care providers, including lifeguards. It includes
adult, infant and child CPR, two rescuer CPR, jaw thrust, bag-valve
mask, and AED training. 2 year certification. Book is included in course
cost.
American Heart Association
CPR for Family and Friends
This course is for those wishing to learn rescue skills for family and
loved ones. CPR and relief of foreign body airway obstruction skills
are taught along with adult and pediatric Chain of Survival.
This course does not provide certification credential. Great
for parents or anyone wanting to learn rescue skills.

First Aid
American Heart Association First Aid- Did you know injuries caused by
accidents are among the leading causes of unintentional deaths? Come
learn some safety and first aid basics that could help save a life.

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
This course teaches teens the skills to provide safe and responsible
care for other children. This training is designed to help
develop skills in leadership, safety, basic care, first aid, and
professionalism. Participants must be at least 12 years old to
participate in class. Topics covered include responsible
babysitting and decision-making, toy safety, diapering and feeding
an infant, first aid, and caring for choking and breathing
emergencies. Please bring a sack lunch. Must be a
minimum of 4 participants in order to hold this class.

Rentals
After Hours Facility Rentals
Did you know the YMCA is available for rent after regular hours
of operation? Hold your high school After Prom or church
overnight at the YMCA. The cost varies, depending on the
length of time, and if the pool is used. Please contact Donn Craig at 773-9622 for cost and more specific information on renting
either the Piqua or Robinson Branch.
Room Rentals
Need a place to host a birthday party, graduation party, baby
shower, etc? Rent one of the rooms at the YMCA. The room is
rented in three hour blocks. The cost is $50 for members and
$100 for nonmembers. If you want to use other YMCA facilities,
along with the room, there will be a guest pass fee for anyone sho
