Kid Fit
This program is for youth grades 3-6. The Kid Fit program has been
developed to provide youth the benefits of a regular individual exercise
program in a well supervised atmosphere. Kid Fit program members will
be given a specific exercise program to complete in the YMCA Fitness center
utilizing the Magnum Fitness Equipment, dumbbell exercises, body weight
exercises, and the cardiovascular equipment.
All Kid Fit participants and their parents must attend a
REQUIRED orientation. At this orientation, parents and program members
will receive fitness center program guidelines, sign up procedures, Kid Fit
Reward Point Info; and they will be oriented to the exercise program in the
fitness center.
Program Fee: This program is available for YMCA members
only. There is a one time fee of $25 at the time of registration for
the orientation.

Orientation
A complimentary one on one orientation for new members or members who
already have their own effective exercise program, but are unfamiliar with
our fitness equipment. Please sign up at the courtesy desk.

This 45 minute class
Please register for your initial
appointment at the front desk. This program may be started at any
time, regular session dates do not apply. The participants of this
program will meet with a Fitness Center Attendant. This is not
Personal Training. Anyone needing an appointment other than the hours
listed above, please contact Enian Phillips, Robinson Branch or Sue Peltier,
Piqua Branch.
Personal Training
A personal trainer will work one-on-one with you to help keep you motivated
and focused on your health and fitness goals. The trainer will provide
guidance and assistance to ensure your workout is being effective and giving
you the results you desire. Personal training sessions must be
pre-registered.

Personal Fitness
Assessments
Your personal fitness assessment
provides you with information on your health and fitness level by measuring
your height, weight, resting heart rate, blood pressure, body composition,
cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance and flexibility.
This assessment will allow you to evaluate where you are physically, where
you want to be, and what changes need to be made to help you achieve your
health and fitness goals. At the conclusion of the assessment, you will
receive a computer printout explaining each test and your results.
Recommendations will be made based on your current fitness assessment
information. Fitness assessments are also offered for teens. For more
information, contact Heather Cancino (Robinson) or Sue Peltier (Piqua) at the
YMCA, or sign up at the front desk.

Body Composition Analysis
A body composition analysis can help
you determine more realistically what your weight range should be based on
your percentage of body fat and lean mass. Body fat is an essential
component of healthy weight loss, gain and maintenance. So, if you are
considering adjusting your weight based on the scale, stop by the front desk
to schedule a body composition analysis FIRST, and we will help you get a
healthy start. Body Composition Analysis is included in a personal Fitness
Assessment.

Youth Personal Fitness
Assessment
This assessment provides the same information for youth ages 12-17 years
old. Teens can learn more about the 5 components of physical fitness while
testing their own fitness level. These five components are assessed by tests
appropriate for this age level. At the conclusion of your assessment, you
will receive a computer print will be made based on your current fitness
assessment information. For more information or to make an appointment,

Fee: Member $15
Non-Member $25
Participant Requirements:
12-15 years old-signed consent form and parent/guardian present. 15-17 years
old - signed consent form
Massage Therapy
Massage services are available to members of both the Men’s and Women’s
Health Center and their guests for a fee. Our licensed therapists can
provide a full therapeutic massage or tailor your massage to meet specific
needs. Massage encourages relaxation and helps reduce the frequency and
severity of stress and tension-related illness. Massage may relieve muscle
fatigue and pain due to overuse or injury.

Fitness Center Age Guidelines
Junior High members (7th and 8th grade) may only use the Fitness Center
when accompanied by a parent/guardian or are participating in a supervised
YMCA program. Those certified with Junior Strength may use the Fitness
Center only when a Fitness Center attendant is on duty. Younger member are
permitted
to use the facility only when participating in an instructional
class given by YMCA staff.
Blood Pressure Screenings
Make sure you are staying health with a
Free blood pressure and glucose screening provided by the Upper Valley
Medical Center and the Miami County YMCA.
